A bit of fun

Hi everyone, no die cutting machine was making Melissa a sad girl, scrapping around some old die cut shapes that I'd kept, so, I found some funny stamps to cheer me up- I hope they make you smile too!

Fantastic News

You know when some girls are born to be a Mum? Well that is my next door neighbours daughter, her whole of her free time is spent with kids, teaching them to swim or doing guides and brownies.  When she got married a little while ago we all expected things to go smoothly, but they didn't, and after many hospital appointments and numerous IVF treatments she fell pregnant.  She had the most awful pregnancy with sickness and high blood pressure BUT last night her Mum phoned me to announce the safe arrival of twins!! so off I trot to make a card for her, to say that I am happy is just not enough :)

Bloomin Lovely

It's been a wired old time with me being kicked out of my craft room/ Christophers study room as he is doing his GCSE's all the worry about those and also have my back play up. Then to top it off my Grand Calibur has had to go back for repair as a bolt inside has sheared off. However this hasn't stopped me totally, just slowed me down a bit!

I have made this for the Rhedd and Rosies's challenge blog the theme this month is Bloomin' Lovely and also for a friends niece, it's nice to make a real girly card sometimes :)

The stamp is a Sheena Douglas and the flowers were made with my new punches. I've just discovered the Brittania word dies, they are amazing and so useful, I think I have most of them now!

Rhedd and Rosie's Fantasy/Mythical Challenge !

Rhedd and Rosie's Fantasy/Mythical Challenge !

This week Rick St Dennis has offered a prize of 3 digi images of the winners choice in the fantasy/mythical challenge on the Rhedd and Rosie's challenge blog.  The images are quite different for me and never have I spent so long colouring a tree before - it really pulls you in once you start!

I did the background, in fact everything, with Pro Markers they gave me the lovely gentle sunrise I was looking for and the lanterns have a little glossy accent to make them look like glass.

Here is a close up

and this is the full image - you will notice it is finished with some good old Lavinia Stamps! And the birds absolutely do NOT cover up an inky finger mark ;-)

I also did this one as well with adding another digi stamp underneath the background this time was with distress inks - very carefully applied!!

Why not pop on over to the blog and give it a go - for a non digi crafter I really enjoyed this challenge!!

Cyber Crafting!

Hi,

Normally when I craft I have the TV on in the background for a bit of company, today I had Number One Son Matthew!! he FaceTimed me just as I sat down and we chatted away about this and that for ages, it was lovely company and it makes him feel a whole lot closer than in Leamington Spa!.

Anyway - this is the card I made in between cooking and revision advice! I used a lovely Visible Image stamp - my new favourite she's called Clara and I am going to enter her into their May Challenge "Brighten Your Day"

The May Lavinia Challenge!

HI!! This month it is "Pastels" which is a lovely theme - right up my street!

Sorry the photo is not so good on this - but you get the idea :) I stamped this fun fairy and then coloured her in with mica powders so that she catches the light as you turn her, then it was a bit of girlie bling and a bow.  I just love this image it is so cheerful and happy and you can colour her a million different ways.

Come on have a go! hop over to the Lavinia Challenge blog so that we can see your entry and good luck!!

PSSST I also have some exciting news (well it was for me!) which I'll tell you later :)

Love to everyone
